We are seeking an Inspection Operative for our manufacturing client in Torrington.

Job Title: Inspection Operative
Job Type: Temporary
Hours: Rotating Shifts: Monday - Friday
Shift 1: 7:30am - 3:30pm; Shift 2: 3:30pm - 11:30pm
Pay Rate: £13.23 per hour
Location: Torrington

About the Role:
As an Inspection Operative, you will work as part of the production team, supporting the production process and ensuring products are handled, checked and prepared to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities of the Inspection Operative:

• Removing products from the machine safely and efficiently.
• Inspecting products for quality, identifying defects and ensure they meet production standards.
• Trimming, finishing and packing products, following the correct work instructions.
• Packing and labelling finished products correctly.
• Monitoring the production process and promptly reporting machine, product or quality issues.
• Keeping scrap and waste to a minimum by handling products and materials carefully and reporting recurring issues.
• Maintaining machine area and surrounding workspace clean and organised.
• Cleaning equipment and work areas as required.
• Following all relevant procedures, work instructions and health and safety processes at all times.

Requirements of the Inspection Operative:

• Experience in a manufacturing/production environment (preferred)
• Previous experience in Inspection (ideal)
• Able to follow strict work procedures
• Comfortable working with small & large components
• Able to maintain accurate records
• Great attention to detail
• Dexterity
